Founded in 2001 in Liège, “Le Monde des Possibles” is a recognised association whose mission is to offer French courses to people with a migration background (refugees, migrants, immigrants, undocumented migrants, people from earlier migration waves) from all over the world and also provide them with advice and assistance in social and residence status issues.
Each week, 200 people representing 69 different nationalities and 410 languages attend a variety of courses at the association, such as French as a foreign language (Français Langue Etrangère-FLE), citizenship training (as part of the Belgian integration procedure), social and residence status counselling and also political activities.
Le Monde des Possibles helps develop partnerships in the Liège province and promotes the empowerment of migrants in the areas of social and occupational integration, assertion of fundamental rights, representativeness, recognition of professional experience gained in their home countries, improvement of language skills as well as interpretation services at social facilities (schools, offices).
Experience in the implementation of integration and EU-funded projects:
- Univerbal project (ESF 2016) The goal is to acquire the skills required to develop an independent social interpreting service. The TREE project contributes added value beyond the funding period, thanks to the perspective of creating a European network.
