LabSET
„Laboratoire de soutien aux Synergies Education-Technologie“
As a European research and competence centre for distance learning, LabSET helps teachers, pupils and students, institutions and businesses to use technologies for quality distance learning.
LabSET supports further education and training institutions in the development, assessment and regulation of online training systems and is involved in programme evaluation. LabSET carries out activities on the local, regional, community, federal, European and international level. These measures contribute to the introduction of quality e-learning and to political orientation in the field of learning, in particular distance learning.
LabSET also participates in the evaluation of training programmes, the development of relevant educational tools and the professional Training of teachers. It conducts action research to achieve changes in educational practices in favour of quality learning.
Experience in the implementation of integration and EU-funded projects:
From 2001 to 2012, LabSET actively participated in the implementation of educational support measures for teachers at the University of Liège. It created the virtual campus, set up a complementary Master’s programme in Higher Education and assisted ten departments in reforming their curricula. The centre also participated in the establishment of the Institute for Educational Support for Teachers (IFRES) and supports many projects outside the university. It participates, among other things, in the quality evaluation of the programme implemented in the French community in Belgium. It has contributed to the creation and reform of curricula in Tunisia, Lebanon, Egypt and France.
CEDEM
„Centre d’Etudes de l’Ethnicité et des Migrations“
Founded in 1995, CEDEM is an interdisciplinary research centre based at the Institute of Social Sciences of the University of Liège (Belgium). CEDEM’s mission is to conduct empirically and theoretically founded research on migration, racism and ethnic relations from a multidisciplinary perspective.
Experience in the implementation of integration and EU-funded projects:
- January 2017 to December 2018: Partners in the “Countering Islamophobia through the Development of Best Practice in the use of Counter-Narratives in EU Member States”. The project supports transnational projects aimed at preventing and combating racism, xenophobia, homophobia and other forms of intolerance, and is sponsored by the EC-DG Justice. https://cik.leeds.ac.uk/
